NTA JEE Main 2021: The Main 2021 Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) will be held from February 23rd. Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal today announced the dates for the engineering entrance test, the first session of 2021 will end on February 26. The minister also informed that the JEE Main will be held four times starting next year: February, March, April and May.

The exam will now be done with a new paper pattern. Candidates must attempt 75 questions out of 90, or 25 out of 30 questions in each section of chemistry, physics and mathematics.

– JEE Main will be carried out in multiple shifts taking into account the interest of the student. The exam will be held from February 23 to 26, from March 15 to 18, from April 27 to 30 and from May 24 to 28, 2021. The exam will be done in two shifts, morning session from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. , afternoon shift from 3 pm to 6 pm. Pokhriyal said: “The move will ensure that students do not miss opportunities due to an exam crash or due to the current COVID-19 situation.”

– In the new paper pattern introduced, there will be no negative score in the 15 alternative questions. The assignment will have the option of trying 75 questions out of 90, 25 questions each in the chemistry, physics and mathematics section. Meanwhile, there will be no changes to the curriculum. The change in the format of the question paper is being introduced to accommodate school boards that have shortened the curriculum for classes 11 and 12 and those that have not.

– The engineering entrance test will be conducted in 13 languages ​​starting next year. These include English, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Assamese, Kannada, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Hate, and Malayalam.

– The outcome of the February JEE main session will be announced in March. Pokhriyal said today: “The first session will be held from February 23 to 26 and the results will be declared within five days after the last date of the exams.”

– The classification of a candidate will be based on the best marks obtained in any of the four attempts. Even if a student appears in all four sessions, the NTA will calculate their best grades from all four tests, Pokhriyal said.

– The application process for JEE Main 2021 started today, and eligible candidates can apply until January 16. Fees can be paid online until January 17 at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates who have passed more than 2 with at least five subjects can apply for the engineering entrance exam.

– To apply, a candidate needs a list of documents that includes a copy of a signed and dated passport size photograph, scanned copy of signature to upload, date of birth as mentioned on the class 10 certificate, grade sheets of class 10 and class 12, EWS, PWD, SC / ST or other reserve certificate, if applicable. Also, all relevant documents supporting the educational qualification certificates.
