Now BMC will seal the entire building if 10 or more COVID-19 cases are found

To contain the increasing spread of COVID-19 virus, BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided that if 10 or more cases are found, all building will be sealed.

The decision was made at a review meeting held by the director of BMC Iqbal Chahal and a revised protocol was published.

Previously, if cases were found, only the particular floor would be sealed and not the entire building.

The building will be partially sealed if one or more cases are in a single house.

However, the call will be answered by the respective deputy municipal commissioner or medical health official.

So far, 8,763 buildings here have been sealed off.

Meanwhile, the civic organization has launched the campaign ‘My family, my responsibility’ to raise awareness about coronavirus.
