Meanwhile, the High Court notified the organizing chairman of the Ministry of Education, JEE-Advance, and others about Singh’s petition and listed the matter for October 7.

Singh, in his petition, told the court that at the test center, his son was illegally harassed for failing to bring passport-size photos and was not allowed to enter the test center. However, he said that there is no such condition to bring a photograph.

The petition, filed through RG Lawz Advocate and Consultants, sought to conduct the JEE – Advance examination for his son again in the interest of justice and order the defendants to give the petitioner’s son the weight in the grade in proportion to questions attempted by the petitioner’s son and punctuated marks in the interest of justice.

“The petitioner’s son was once again expelled from the examination center for not bringing a transparent pen. Again, this is neither a necessary nor a desired condition,” says the allegation. The petitioner said that according to the guidelines, the pen would be provided by the center.

The JEE-Advance Entrance Exam was held on September 27. The petitioner’s son, who claimed to be an academically brilliant student, was one of the students who appeared at the JEE-Advance. The petitioner’s son had obtained the AIR 30 rank in JEE-MAIN.

According to the petitioner, his son had appeared in the FIITJEE AITSE exams and in his last three appearances he obtained 2, 2 and 5 grades. FIITJEE AITS is considered similar to JEE – Advance.

The petitioner told the court that when his son came to take the JEE Advance exam, the Center officials harassed him and his son.

“Due to the physical and mental torture inflicted on the petitioner’s son, he had lost a minimum of 30 to 40 points that he could easily have scored on any normal day,” he added.
