NEW DELHI: Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan stated on Saturday that the Covid-19 vaccine will be provided free of charge across the country.
The minister made the statement while speaking to the media after reviewing the Covid-19 vaccine administration trial at the Maternity and Child Welfare Center (MCW) in Daryaganj.
When asked if the Covid-19 vaccine will be provided for free, as in Delhi, Vardhan replied that “not only in Delhi, it will be free throughout the country.
Vardhan also reviewed the proof of Covid-19 vaccine administration at Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital (GTB) in Delhi today.
In Delhi, the campaign is taking place in three locations: the Daryaganj Primary Health Center, the government-run Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital and the Venkateshwara Private Hospital, he added.
Except for the vaccine application, all procedures are followed during the drill, Vardhan said.
The drill will be conducted by all states and territories of the Union beginning Saturday. The mock vaccination is being conducted in all states / UT currently in 116 districts at 259 sites.
