“Then I had conversations with the Attorney General, the SG, the SCORA president, among others. Once the court met, I saw and heard all the proceedings clearly. In the end, Rohtagi was fired. After the court work, he asked Venugopal to speak and I saw and heard him completely, including his disappointment at the punishment of Prashant Bhushan“he added.
“When it was over, I thought they would ask me to speak, instead Jadhav it was requested knowing full well that he was present. For some unknown reasons, I was disconnected over and over again, but I persisted and rejoined each time. Only at 1:02 he replied saying that he is telling the Registrar to investigate him, at which point it was too late and that is why I sent him a message informing him that he had left, “he said.
Dave said this was an affront to the Bar Association and to him personally and mentioned in the letter what he was going to speak about at the dismissal of Judge Mishra.
“While you may have done so out of fear that I might say something unpleasant, let me tell you exactly what I was going to say and that I had written: ‘My lord, the Chief Justice, may I have permission to say a few words in On behalf of the SCBA and the EC on the retirement of Judge Arun Mishra? And with your permission, I would say: ‘On behalf of the SCBA, the EC and myself, I wish you, Judge Mishra, happiness and bliss in the rest of your life. long life, which by all accounts will be as fruitful and rewarding as it has been. May you ask Lord Mahabaleshwar to bless you with the strength necessary to introspect and awaken your consciousness. ” he said.
