‘No corona, no corona’: Union Minister Ramdas Athawale coined the slogan for the new strain of coronavirus

Union Minister Ramdas Athawale, whose chant “go corona, corona go” earlier this year drew attention, has now proposed another slogan to “combat” the new strain of coronavirus: “No corona, no corona.” He also said that his previous slogan was effective as “the crown is leaving”, referring to the fall in the burden of cases in the country.

“Before I said the motto ‘Go Corona, Corona Go’ and now corona goes. For the new strain of coronavirus, I give the slogan of ‘No Corona, Corona No’, the head of the Republican Party of India (RPI) told reporters in Pune.

In February, a video of Athawale together with a Chinese diplomat and Buddhist monks chanting “Go crown, see crown” at a prayer meeting went viral on social media. The video was reportedly filmed at India Gate on February 20 during a prayer session to stop the spread of the coronavirus in China.

Athawale is a member of the Rajya Sabha and minister of state for social justice in the government led by Narendra Modi. “I will meet with BJP President JP Nadda to discuss a possible alliance for the West Bengal Assembly elections. We hope (BJP will reserve us) around 10 seats, ”he said.

The minister himself had tested positive for Covid-19 in October. Earlier this week, Athawale said that a Covid-19 vaccine would be available in the country in one to two months. “The coronavirus will be there for another six or seven months, but it has to go away one day. Once the vaccine arrives, the crown will leave here, ”he said.

A new SARS-CoV-2 variant It has been revealed to be the reason behind the rapid increase in Covid-19 cases in the south and east of England. Since then, India and several other countries have suspended UK flights and imposed travel restrictions.

India recorded 18,732 new cases of Covid-19, the lowest in nearly six months, while 97.61,538 people have recovered from the disease so far, bringing the national recovery rate to 95.82 percent, according to data from the Union Ministry of Health updated on Sunday.
