Mumbai:
The head of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Sharad Pawar, said he has no connection to the property of actor Kangana Ranaut, which was demolished by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
“I have no connection to the building, which was demolished by BMC. Their accusations against me are totally false,” Pawar told reporters Thursday.
Kangana Ranaut had reportedly said that the building, which was demolished, belonged to the head of the NCP.
Ms. Ranaut has made headlines with her statements and revelations about the Hindi film industry after actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai residence in June.
The Union Ministry of the Interior had provided him with Y-plus security coverage amid a dispute over his comments, in which he compared Mumbai to Pakistani-occupied Kashmir and also targeted Mumbai police.
Recently, the actor had also mobilized the Bombay High Court against BMC’s demolition campaign on his property in Mumbai.
