Janata Dal-United (JD-U) boss Nitish Kumar will be sworn in as Bihar’s new prime minister at 4:30 pm on Monday (Nov 16). It should be noted that Nitish Kumar will be sworn in as the CM of Bihar for the seventh time, a record.

A total of 12 ministers are expected to take the oath along with Nitish Kumar during a performance at Raj Bhawan in Patna. The BJP, which has won 31 more seats than the 43 won by Nitish Kumar’s JD (U), would also have two deputy ministers in Bihar.

Sources claimed that the four-time MLA of Katihar Tarkishore Prasad and Bettiah MLA Renu Devi would be sworn in as the new deputy CMs of Bihar. In particular, Prasad and Renu Devi were elected leader and vice chairman of the BJP legislative party on Sunday during an NDA meeting chaired by Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.

“There are indications that Renu ji (BJP leader Renu Devi) and I will be sworn in as Bihar’s chief deputy ministers,” Tarkishore Prasad told reporters earlier this day.
