Nissan Magnite is cheaper to maintain than Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza


Nissan launched the new Magnite earlier this month, the car is gaining quite a bit of popularity in the market. The Magnite is priced much lower than its competitors like the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon and the brand has now announced that it is the cheapest car to maintain in the segment. Nissan Says Magnite Owner Will Only Have To Spend 29 paise per kilometer for service and maintenance.

The maintenance cost is calculated for the first 50,000 km. The manufacturer has also introduced the prepaid maintenance service, which will be available as “Nissan Magnite Care” and will allow customers to save up to 22%. The plan is available for two to five years and is offered in two plans: Gold and Silver.

Nissan Magnite customers will also be able to use the Nissan Service Cost Calculator available on the manufacturer’s website or in the Nissan Connect app. The client will also be able to know the cost of the service with labor charges through the calculator and plan accordingly. Officially, Nissan also offers a 2-year or 50,000 km standard warranty on the Magnite. It can be extended to 1,00,000 km or 5 years (whichever comes first) by purchasing an extended warranty package.

Nissan has not disclosed the current status of the Magnite’s stock. However, it has attracted a large number of buyers. Just four days after reservations opened, Nissan announced that more than 5,000 reservations were made. Currently the waiting period has increased to 8 months in some cities based on variant and color option. Nissan is also working to expand its dealer network across India to serve a greater number of customers.

Nissan Magnite: gasoline-only options

Nissan offers up to 20 variants with Magnite. However, all variants are powered by gasoline engine options. Nissan offers a total of two engine options with the Magnite. There is a naturally aspirated 1.0-liter gasoline engine and a more powerful 1.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine. The naturally aspirated engine produces a maximum of 72 hp and a maximum torque of 90 Nm. Only a five-speed manual transmission is available with this option. The more powerful 1.0-liter turbo gasoline produces a maximum power of 100 hp and a maximum torque of 152 Nm with the CVT and 160 Nm with the manual.

The naturally aspirated engine returns a maximum of 18.75 km / l according to ARAI, while the 1.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine returns a maximum of 17.7 km / l with the CVT and 20 km / l with the manual transmission.

It also provides a list of the top features in the segment. It includes an 8.0-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wireless connectivity solution. Plus, it has a huge 7.0-inch TFT instrument cluster. Nissan also claims that the Magnite offers the most stylish headlights in the segment. With the Tech Pack, customers can also add features like ambient lighting, puddle lamps, air purifier, cordless phone charging and more to the car.
