NEW DELHI: The National Investigation Agency (NIA), which investigates the murder of Thane’s businessman Mansukh hiran, recovered crucial evidence Sunday from the Mithi River in Mumbai ‘s Bandra.
The agency said divers recovered two CPUs, a laptop, CCTV DVR and a pair of license plates with the same registration number.

The NIA had taken the arrested cop Sachin waze to the bridge over the river in connection with the probe.

Waze, who is the main defendant in the case, he allegedly dumped these items into the river, according to the NIA.
“When confronted with circumstantial evidence, the defendant Sachin Waze confessed that some pieces of evidence were thrown into the Mithi River in Mumbai,” NIA sources told ANI.

Sources said the recovered DVRs (Digital Video Recorders) are from the Waze housing partnership where the Scorpio car was parked between February 17 and 24, from stores where various license plates were made, and from other locations where Waze suspected that his movement might have been captured.
The evidence was in Waze’s custody until the time of Mansukh’s death, they added.

Hiran was the owner of the explosive-laden SUV that was found abandoned near the industrialist’s residence. Mukesh Ambani.
He had reported the car missing just two days before the security scare.
On March 5, Hiran was found dead in a stream in Thane.
