Microsoft has launched new subscription services to Microsoft 365 Personal and Microsoft 365 Family in India. As the names suggest, the new services are intended for personal and family use. The family plan can serve up to six members.
Microsoft 365 is a renamed version of Office 365. A statement from the company stated that the service will be deployed regionally to more than 38 million Office 365 users worldwide in the coming months.
“Microsoft 365 personal and family subscriptions will provide users with innovative experiences that will enable them to co-author, video chat, organize and meet friends and family anytime, anywhere,” said Yusuf Mehdi, corporate vice president, Windows and devices. Group.
Price
Microsoft 365 personal costs ₹420 per month and ₹4,199 a year. The family version will cost ₹530 per month and ₹5,299 per year for up to six people.
Features
The company claims that the content of the new services is powered by artificial intelligence and the cloud-based experience.
New features include premium Office desktop apps, 1TB of OneDrive Cloud storage per person (even in Family package), 60 minutes of Skype to call mobile phones and landlines, advanced security features to protect users from malware and phishing attacks and ongoing technical support, among others. Premium desktop applications include Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, OneNote, Access (PC only), and Publisher (PC only).
New features also include a Microsoft Editor, an AI-powered service available in more than 20 languages that can now be accessed through Word and Outlook.com, and as a standalone browser extension for Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome.
Similarly, an artificial intelligence presenter in Microsoft PowerPoint will help correct the monotonous tone and refine the speeches. This feature will initially be available as a free preview, but later only Microsoft 365 users will be able to use the feature.
Excel users will gain new data types and smart templates to interact with the data, providing deeper meaning for more than 100 topics. Microsoft 365 subscribers will also get exclusive access to over 100 new data types powered by Wolfram Alpha technology.
Later this year, the software company has stated that they will also release a new version of the Teams tool with better features aimed at connecting family and friends.
