NEET 2020 exam finished, what’s next?

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the National Income and Eligibility Test (NEET 2020) today, October 14. The NEET 2020 exam was taken from 2 pm to 5 pm in the center-based pen and paper mode. NEET’s administering body, NTA, had to take the NEET test again today for students who were unable to take the exams on September 13 due to reasons associated with COVID-19. Students can check the results of the NTA NEET 2020 consolidated exam on the official website of the administering body – ntaneet.ac.in on October 16.
Following the announcement of the NEET 2020 results, the examining body will also publish the state NEET merit lists with the respective authorities to conduct NEET assessment for 85 percent of medical and dental seats. Candidates will be able to register for NEET counseling for 15 percent of all India quota seats (AIQ) and 85 percent of state quota seats.
NEET counseling under 15 percent AIQ includes places in government universities (except Jammu and Kashmir), central and considerate universities, places reserved for children of insured persons (IP fee) in the Corporation’s medical schools State Employees Insurance (ESIC) and seats available at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) in Pune. While for 85 percent of the state quota places, the respective state authorities will carry out the NEET 2020 assessment for admission to state government and private dental and medical colleges.
NEET 2020 Merit List 2020: Tiebreaker Procedure
The NEET UG article included: Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology). Each subject had 45 multiple-choice questions of 4 points each and a negative score of one for marked incorrect answers. In the 2020 NEET Entrance Exam, if two or more candidates achieve the same NEET scores, the agency will follow a tiebreaker methodology to break the deadlock in this order to:

Preference will be given to candidates who obtain higher grades in Biology (Botany and Zoology) at NTA NEET

Preference will be given to whoever has obtained the highest grades in Chemistry in NTA NEET 2020

Candidates with fewer attempts at wrong answers in all subjects on the NEET eligibility test will also have an advantage
