National Income Eligibility Test, NEET 2020 Result: Moments after the result of the 2020 National Income Eligibility Test (NEET) was announced on Friday, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank thanked the National Agency of Tests (NTA).

The results were announced at 5 p.m. on the official NEET websites and candidates can visit the websites–ntaneet.nic.in or mcc.nic.in to check their scores. On Friday, the National Testing Agency (NTA) also posted the final answer key for the National Entry Eligibility Test (NEET) on their official websites.

Taking to the microblogging site Twitter, Pokhriyal thanked the NTA for providing a new cohort of physicians this year. He said the examinations were conducted during the “trial” times and the spirit of cooperative federalism was clearly visible.

Encouraging students who failed to pass the test, Pokhriyal said that students who failed to do so should not feel discouraged. To encourage them, he said that “opportunities await them in other sectors.” He added that an exam “cannot define you.”

“Students who were unable to attend, please do not be discouraged. Opportunities in other sectors await you. An exam cannot define you. The country needs your intellect and insight in those sectors,” he tweeted.

“As the new doctors give impetus to the vision of the Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji of Aatma Nirbhar Bharat, I urge them to serve the rural areas and the population in need in the future,” he also tweeted.

Candidates should know that the NEET 2020 result can only be downloaded up to 90 days from the filing date.

NEET 2020 Limit: The NEET limit is the minimum scores that candidates must obtain on the entrance exam to be eligible to apply for admission to MBBS / BDS courses. The limit changes each year depending on factors such as the level of difficulty of the NEET exam, the number of applicants taking the exam, the availability of seats, etc. and it also varies by category.

STEP 3: Enter the list number, date of birth and submit
STEP 4: Results will appear on the screen

The NEET 2020 exams concluded on September 13 amid the COVID-19 pandemic. About 85-90 percent of the 15.97 lakh candidates showed up for the NEET 2020 exam. Nearly 300 candidates, who missed the exams on September 13 due to the pandemic, took the test on Wednesday (October 14).

Previously, the Supreme Court ordered the NTA to announce the 2020 NEET result on October 16. The court also noted that candidates who were unable to sit for the NEET UG 2020 exam due to the COVID-19 pandemic will have the opportunity to appear for the test on October 14.

The Union Cabinet Minister of Education Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank announced on October 12 on Twitter that the results of NEET-UG 2020 will be announced on October 16, 2020. “The exact timing of the results will be released further. Go ahead. I wish the candidates all the best, “he tweeted.

NEET final answer keys: In the meantime, the NTA could also release NEET’s final answer keys along with the NTA NEET exam results. Final answer keys will also be available to candidates on the official NEET website – ntaneet.nic.in. NTA has already published the interim NEET response keys for all sections of the NTA NEET test and the candidates’ NEET OMR sheets.

Once the final answer key is published, candidates who have applied for the exam can verify it for all sets (E1-E6, F1-F6, G1-G6, H1-H6) by visiting the official NTA website .

NEET 2020 Ranking: Along with the result, NTA would also release the 2020 NEET ranking list for all India quota. The state merit lists would be shared with the respective authorities, which would carry out the assessment for 85% of the medical and dental entries. For the 15 percent AIQ, NEET ranks and ratings are expected to vary.

To qualify for MBBS / BSD courses, candidates must achieve a minimum 50th percentile in NEET. For those who belong to reserved categories, including SC and ST categories, the minimum scores are the 40th percentile and for PwD candidates it is the 45th percentile.
