NEET 2020 Phase 2: Exam Section Analysis – Education


The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted a special NEET 2020 Phase 2 exam on Wednesday for candidates who were unable to take the exam on Sept. 13 due to the Coronavirus pandemic. This year, around 15 lakh candidates registered for NEET 2020. Only 85-90% of them appeared in the exam that was held on September 13th. Those absent had a second chance to take the exam, in light of the Coronavirus pandemic. NTA will report NEET 2020 results on October 16 at ntaneet.nic.in.

NTA conducts NEET every year for admission to MBBS / BDS courses and other undergraduate medical courses at approved / recognized universities / medical / dental and other institutes in India.

Most of the candidates who took the exam found the difficulty level of the questions between easy and moderate. Check the sectional analysis of the exam

PHYSICAL:

Difficulty level – Moderate

· Compared to Phase I, the Physics section had a slightly higher difficulty level.

· The document was largely based on the NCERT syllabus. Even the theoretical questions were from the NCERT textbook, including many solved NCERT examples.

· More number-based questions were asked.

· The questions required complicated calculations.

· Questions were asked of the prescribed curriculum only.

· There was a controversial question.

· In general, the article was not long.

CHEMISTRY

· Difficulty level: easy to moderate.

· Compared to Phase I, Chemistry was easy this time.

· All questions were based on the NCERT textbook. As in Phase I, the statements were taken directly from the NCERT textbooks.

· Simple and easy to understand questions.

· There are no controversial questions, but in 1-2 questions, the language can be a bit confusing.

· It is not extensive. Very simple paper.

· No complicated calculations required.

· Variety of questions in terms of pattern consisting of matching the following, etc.

· Organic Chemistry did not require students to delve into the mechanism.

BIOLOGY:

· Compared to Phase I, the Biology part was comparatively easy. Overall, it was of an easy to moderate level of difficulty.

· NCERT-centered paper with slight deviations in options. And that’s also a rare occurrence of options outside of the NCERT curriculum.

· The document was largely balanced and well distributed, as all the chapters of the NCERT were covered.

· Regarding the pattern of questions, all aspects were covered with many tables and agree with the following.

· The Biology section consisted of 42 Zoology questions and 48 Botany questions.
