The National Testing Agency has announced that the National Eligibility and Entry Test, NEET 2020 will be held on September 13, 2020 nationwide. Recently, the Supreme Court attorney, Alakh Alok Srivastava, has given all the petitioners some hope against conducting the examinations. He is still hopeful that the medical entrance exams will be postponed.
He brought up the example of cases like Sushant Singh, a migrant worker, the UGC final year exam guidelines, where the Supreme Court, SC had initially dismissed some petitions only to admit new petitions in the same cases later.
He said: “Together with a respected top advocate, I am trying again to postpone NEET. We both work pro bono. ”He also asked others to try him. Take a look at his tweet below.
The NEET and JEE Main exam verdict has also become a bone of contention between various academics and state governments. Six state governments have filed petitions in the high court regarding the center’s decision to conduct screening during the pandemic. Advocate Alakh says he understands their perspective too and knows that they too are trying to get his review onto the list. However, he asked the students to continue their studies without stress until the exams.
Also recently, a NEET aspirant came up and challenged the HRD Minister to write with gloves for 20 minutes. She criticized the test guidelines that instructed students to write their tests with gloves. JEE exams are taking place in the country and today was the second day of the All India Engineering Entrance Exam.
The NTA has developed a comprehensive plan and issued a warning for taking the NEET 2020 exams. This warning has been designed based on various instructions, guidelines, and orders issued regarding the pandemic. The plan would help the NTA conduct large-scale exams, like NEET, with the diligence necessary to ensure the safety of all candidates appearing on these exams.
