NEET Results 2020 was declared on October 16, 2020. Soyeb Aftab of the Allen Institute in Kota led the exam with 720 points. After him, another name has emerged of Anil Kumar from Bissau, who has secured 77th place in NEET 2020. His father works as a day laborer on the village farm and his aunt worked in a hostel to support his dream of becoming a doctor. .

Anil moved to Kota to prepare for NEET and studied at the Allen Career Institute. All of his hard work paid off as he scored 700 points and achieved AIR-77 in NEET 2020. Learn about his unusual but motivating journey here.

Anil may have been the only student in Kota who stayed at a girls’ hostel during its preparation. This happened due to financial constraints, but he still succeeded. Her father Ramswarup and her mother Kamala Devi work as farmers in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan. He has two sisters who supported him throughout his preparation. His aunt, Meera, played an important role in its preparation. She used to work in a shelter in Kota as a warden, which is how she supported him financially. The duo lived in the small room of the hostel for 4 years, which was left after Anil succeeded in his NEET exam.

Anil said: “I was very overwhelmed when 2020 rolled around, but Corona extended my wait and the closure was announced. Because of all this, I was very disturbed, but the Allen faculty encouraged me and gave me advice on how to use the closure period effectively So I took the time to review my curriculum again and again. And as I reviewed it, many doubts began to arise. But I was able to resolve all the doubts with the help of my faculties. Now I want to become a successful Doctor and do something great for my people and my country. “

The most prominent and inevitable role was played by Anil’s Aunt Meera. Meera’s son Ashok had also studied Pre-Medical at Allen Kota, and he succeeded. He is currently studying at SMS Medical College, Jaipur. When Ashok was selected, at the time, Anil was in standard ninth. He was inspired by his brother and began to dream of achieving the same.

Anil, while talking to reporters, said: “I came to Kota in 2016. I got 93% in class 10 and 87% in class 12. In 2018, I got good grades in class 12, but still , I was not able to appear in NEET because the minimum age requirement for NEET is 17. So I waited two years and worked very hard. In 2020, my wait ended and I was eligible to fulfill my parents’ dreams. “
