The Court on Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) has sent the defendant Agisilaos Demetriades in the drug case linked to the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput to judicial custody.

On Monday, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) made its 23rd arrest as part of its investigation into the drug case linked to the investigation into the death of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

According to NCB officials, Demetriades is African and a close relative of a Bollywood celebrity.

“Demetriades has been arrested at a resort in the Lonavala area of ​​Mumbai. Drugs have been recovered from his possession. Alprazolam, a tablet that is banned in India, was recovered during a raid on his home,” an official told ANI .

The official further said that Demetriades was part of an “immensely large active drug syndicate and supplied narcotics to the same street vendors who sold drugs to actress Rhea Chakraborty’s brother, Showik Chakraborty, Anuj Keshwand Dipesh Sawant.”

The NCB launched an investigation after receiving an official communication from the Directorate of Enforcement (ED), in which there were several discussions related to the consumption, acquisition, use and transport of drugs in connection with the Sushant Singh Rajput case.

On July 31, the Emergency Department had registered an Enforcement Case Information Report in the case of the late actor’s death after Rajput’s father, KK Singh, filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Rhea Chakraborty. in Bihar on July 28.

Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai residence on June 14.
