As the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) expands its investigative network regarding the Bollywood drug nexus, Maharashtra BJP leader Pravin Darekar said Wednesday that the agency should investigate actress Kangana Ranaut if she had previously admitted to being a “drug addict”.
“If Kangana has said she was addicted to drugs, then the NCB (Office of Narcotics Control) should investigate. The law is the same for everyone in our country, ”said Darekar, leader of the opposition in the state Legislative Council.
Darekar’s comments come at a time when the agency is investigating the drugs angle in the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput (SSR) and after it arrested actress Rhea Chakroborty, who has been booked by the police. from Bihar for allegedly instigating the suicide of her actor boyfriend.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is in charge of the main investigation in the SSR death case.
However, the NCB has summoned many Bollywood actresses in connection with the case, including Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh, among others, to question them about the angle of drugs in the SSR case.

Darekar went on to say that no one will support if new and budding actors in the film industry are victims of drugs.
“Shouldn’t we take precautions if actors in one of the world’s largest film industries become addicted (to drugs)?” she questioned.
Darekar also said that there should be no problem if the NCB summons anyone who is using drugs for investigation.
