If the latest reports are to be believed, NCB has almost given actors Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, and Shraddha Kapoor a clean fine, and Deepika’s manager Karishma Prakash, all of whom were recently questioned by NCB in relation to the alleged drug nexus in Bollywood.
An OCN official reportedly said: “We were satisfied because they both corroborated the codes.”
Padukone and Prakash told NCB officials on Saturday that in their 2017 WhatsApp chats, they had used the words maal, weed, hash and doob as code names for various types of cigarettes “for fun.”
NCB officials asked Padukone and Prakash the same set of questions in separate rooms.
However, an official statement from OCN officials on the matter of the four people is still awaited.
In the wake of the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, the Office of Narcotics Control summoned several actors from the film industry to uncover an alleged drug cartel.
