Prasad (30) was arrested on September 26 in the drug case investigated by the NCB in connection with the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. He was presented in court on Saturday and sent to judicial custody until Tuesday.
“I have been repeatedly harassed and coerced into falsely implicating Dino Morea, Arjun Rampal and Ranbir Kapoor in the present proceedings despite the fact that I have repeatedly stated that I do not know the people and have no knowledge of such allegations,” said Prasad in his statement. of guilt.
He also said that since he refused to write false statements, the OCN had been preparing them according to his wish and tried to force him to sign them. “I say that in this way I am being harassed and abused mentally, emotionally and psychologically by the complainant (NCB) to make false statements,” he added.

Sarpande told the court that, while in custody, Prasad was totally “uncooperative, inflexible and arrogant and refused to sign any statements given by him.”
The NCB claimed it was trying to bargain hard by seeking removal of the strict Section 27A of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) in exchange for their signatures on the statements. The criminal smuggling and harboring charge under Section 27A of the NDPS carries a minimum sentence of 10 years in prison and a maximum of 20 years in prison.
Prasad is a former employee of filmmaker Karan Johar, owner of Dharmatic Entertainment, a sister company of Dharma Productions. At his pretrial detention hearing, Special Judge GB Gurao said that the police were given sufficient time to investigate the crime and that there were no justifiable reasons to extend his police custody.
Last week, during his first pretrial detention hearing, Prasad’s defense advocate Satish Maneshinde had filed another statement alleging that the NCB had constantly threatened him with making statements against Johar and other senior DHARMA productions officials and that, Should he refuse, they would falsely implicate his wife and other family members. In his retraction statement, Prasad told the NCB office that he was surrounded by several officers and made a statement containing various confessions that were dictated by the department’s officers.
