A 30-year-old television actress was arrested by the Bureau of Narcotics Control after she was allegedly caught buying drugs in Mumbai, an official said Monday.
Acting as a tip off, NCB officials arrested the actress when she was allegedly receiving marijuana from a person in the town of Andheri on Saturday.
The drug agency seized 99 grams of ganja from his possession, the official said.
The actress and the drug supplier, identified as Faisal (20), were subsequently arrested, he said.
During his questioning, it came to light that the seized drug came from a Deepak Rathaur, who was also arrested later, the official said.
A case was registered against all the defendants under the provisions of the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS), he said, adding that the NCB was conducting an investigation into the case.
