In a shocking incident, the area director of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Sameer Wankhede, and his team of five officers were attacked by a group of drug traffickers in the Goregaon area of Mumbai on Monday (23 de November).
Sources told Zee Media that Wankhede and his team were attacked by about 60 people. Two OCN officials are known to have been seriously injured in the attack. NCB officials have gone to arrest a drug dealer named ‘Carry Mandis’. Mumbai police arrived on the scene to monitor the situation and protect the OCN officials from the attackers.
Mumbai police arrested ‘Carry Mandis’ and three of his associates and a caseaites and a case under IPC Sec 353 against the defendant has been re-settled.
Acting as a tip off, the NCB raided Bharti Singh’s home and production office on Saturday and recovered cannabis from both locations. Bharti was arrested on Saturday, while her husband Haarsh was arrested by the NCB on Sunday. Both Bharti and Haarsh are currently behind bars and their bond statement will be heard on Tuesday.

Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa were placed in custody until December 4 by a Mumbai court on Sunday. “Drug use charges have been brought against him,” Wankhede had said.
