Nagpur: Man arrested for cheating on CJI’s mother of Rs 2 crore | Nagpur News

NAGPUR: Sitabuldi police arrested a Tapas Ghosh on Tuesday night for deceiving Mukta Bobde, mother of the Chief Justice of India, Sharad Bobde, for a sum of more than 2 million rupees.
Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar confirmed the arrest to TOI. The Bobde family has a lawn, Seasons Lawn, in Akashwani Square. Bobde senior had appointed Ghosh as lawn caretaker about 10 years ago. However, taking advantage of their old age, Ghosh and his wife did not deposit the entire amount raised by renting the lawn for various programs, usually wedding ceremonies.
Recently, Mukta Bobde realized that Ghosh has been cheating on her and has not deposited the money earned through rent for many years, the CP said.
On Tuesday, Bobde filed a written complaint with the Sitabuldi police against Ghosh and others. “On the basis of the FIR, we have arrested Tapas Ghosh under relevant sections of the IPC. The Sitabuldi police will present Tapas Ghosh in court to request his preventive custody, ”said the PC.
