England all-rounder Sam Curran is currently touring South Africa for a limited series that began on November 27 in Paarl. The left arm showed his bowling prowess in the T20I series opener, ripping off three important Protea grounds.
Curran came out as the leader in wicket takers, as England edged out the African hosts in the opening of the tour by 5 wickets. After a delicious victory, the all-rounder admitted that his stint at the three-time champion Chennai Super Kings, led by MS Dhoni, has improved his skills and taken his game to a different level.
“I really enjoyed the IPL and I feel like I have taken my game to a different standard in terms of my learning. I took a lot out of that group and the Chennai coaching staff. I feel like my game has improved since I went there and I want to keep trying to improve and become a regular, ”Curran said after his 3/28 in the first T20I.

England continued their victory in the second games as well, defeating the Proteas by 4 wickets to take a 2-0 lead in the three-game series.
Curran may have come back empty-handed in that game, but he’s still the third-tallest carrier in the series after Tabraiz Shamsi and Lungi Ngidi, who have 4 wickets each under their belt.
The Chennai Super Kings had the worst IPL season in tournament history, but Sam Curran turned out to be the biggest positive for the team. The off-roader finished the season with a total of 13 wickets in his pocket, out of 14 games. He also produced an excellent display of his hitting skills, racking up 186 runs, including a score of over fifty. He also hit 15 sixes on the season.
