It is a known fact that Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karisma Kapoor’s parents, Randhir Kapoor and Babita, have been separated for more than 3 decades. However, they have never decided to divorce. Babita raised her daughter Karisma and Kareena as a single mother. However, Kareena has said that her father Randhir Kapoor has always been there for them “in silence”.
“My mother is my best friend but I adore my father because I respect and love him very much. He is not very brusque because he is someone who has always chosen to be behind. He is not someone who is attracting attention and wants that. He is silent always there for us and I know it, ”said Kareena Kapoor Khan in an interview with Barkha Dutt.
Speaking about how to deal with separation from her parents at a young age, Kareena said, “My parents have a lovely relationship because sometimes, two people find that their lives are not going exactly as planned, so they better don’t do it. ” stay together but can still be friends and sometimes make decisions about the kids. They don’t need to have to be under the same roof or be there 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I think both Karisma and I understood it very early in life, that this type of relationship can also exist. It has existed for almost 35 years with my parents and I see that in moments when they need to be together, they are always together, but they prefer to have their day to day. the day lives separately, which is wonderful. ”
During a media interaction at Babita’s 70th birthday party in 2017, when Randhir Kapoor was asked why they weren’t heading for divorce despite being apart for many years. The veteran actor had said, “Divorce for what? Why should we get divorced? I don’t intend to remarry, and neither does she. She found out that I was a terrible man who drank a lot and came home late. That was something. that she didn’t like. And I didn’t want to live the way she wanted, and she couldn’t accept me as I am, even though it was a love match. So that’s okay.
