MUMBAI: The Bureau of Narcotics Control (NCB), investigating the angle of drugs in Sushant Singh’s death case, television actress Pratika Chauhan was arrested with 100 grams of Andheri’s ganja early Sunday morning.
On the basis of an intelligence on the supply of marijuana in Warsaw on Saturday night, a team of NCB Mumbai zonal unit detained two people in Machhimar, Warsaw. NCB questioned Pratika to determine if she was using the drugs for personal use or to sell in industry.
After the interrogation and the recording of confessions, it emerged that although Faisal (20) was a provider and Preetika Chauhan (30) was a receiver. Both were placed under arrest under the NDPS law and would be presented in court.
During interrogation, it was learned that the seized marijuana came from a Deepak Rathaur from Warsaw.
The case was developing further, said Sameer Wankhede, NCB’s area director.
On Saturday, NCB arrested private taxi driver Sahil Mazhar (33) and recovered 7.2 grams of charas.
