In a chilling video, an elderly man was about to be crushed by an oncoming train while on the track, but had a rather miraculous escape, thanks to the alert status of an alert policeman on the train platform.
The incident was reported from Mumbai Dahisar Train Station and video of the incident has gone viral.
Video from the CCTV footage shows the 60-year-old man, identified as Ganpat Solankhi, jumping over a barricade and then removing one of his shoes. He picks it up, moves to the other side of the track to use it while police are seen alerting him to an oncoming train.
However, without paying much attention to the alarm, the man walks down the runway thinking he can jump onto the platform just in time. He could have been crushed under the train if the alert policeman had not acted in time and stopped him immediately. It was a close shave!
As the man landed on the platform, police are seen slapping him hard in frustration.

In another tweet, a journalist identified the sheriff as SB Nikam and hailed him for his “timely courage.”
The video went viral in no time, and for some reason the slap is all that netizens found extremely funny.
