Mumbai High Court resumes hearing on Kangana Ranaut’s statement against BMC’s demolition campaign | Hindi Movie News


Kangana Ranaut had addressed the Bombay High Court after the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation carried out a demolition campaign at his Pali Hill office on September 9. The High Court resumed the hearing today, in which the Court stated: “In our first order, we said if they acted so quickly that Bombay would be a better place.” Citing ‘illegal construction’ in its notice to the actress, the BMC had parts of her property have been demolished and the actress now claims damages for it.

Due to the demolition, Kangana allegedly faced damage to valuables for which she is seeking compensation. In his guilty plea, Kangana had urged the court to declare BMC’s action “illegal” and that the civic body should pay its 2 million rupees in damages.

In a series of posts on social media, Kangana Ranaut criticized the actions of the civic body. Kangana had arrived in Mumbai on the day of the demolition campaign and had shared on Twitter: “Since I am ready for Mumbai Darshan on my way to the airport, Maha’s government and their goons are on my property ready to illegally dismantle it! go on! I promised to give blood for the pride of Maharashtra, this is nothing, it takes all, but my spirit will only rise higher and higher ”
