Former Maharashtra MLA BJP Sardar Tara Singh died here Saturday morning due to a prolonged illness, a senior BJP leader said.
He was 81 years old.
“Sardar Tara Singh breathed his last in a private hospital in Mumbai,” former BJP MP Kirit Somaiya told PTI.
“He had been in the hospital for the past few days and was under treatment for various illnesses,” Somaiya added.
Singh previously represented the constituency of the Mulund Assembly in Mumbai.
