NEW DELHI: Mumbai-based Gem Tours & Travel announced a coronavirus vaccination tour package for HNI customers who wish to travel to the US to receive the vaccine.

The travel firm is releasing the package on the back of the coronavirus vaccine from major pharmaceutical company Pfizer Inc and German partner BioNTech SE that showed 95% efficacy in preventing Covid-19 without major safety concerns. Pfizer has already applied to US health regulators for emergency use authorization for its covid-19 vaccine.

Packages are booked on a first come, first serve basis without any advance or deposit. “We only need you to register with us with your name, email, cell phone, age, any physical complications above and a copy of the passport,” the firm said in a message in response to Mint’s query.

The numbers given in the WhatsApp message that was circulating were not answered. In the text message, the company said it was unable to respond to calls due to the flood of inquiries.

The operator said that it does not have or purchase any vaccines and that everything will be done according to official permits from the US department of health.
