Vikassheel Insaan (VIP) Party Chief Mukesh Sahani is the richest minister in the Nitish Kumar government, according to details of assets declared by the prime minister and his cabinet colleagues uploaded to the state government website.
Sahani, who has a portfolio of animal husbandry and fishing, has a net property of 12.34 million rupees. However, he does not own any private vehicle to travel. A Tata Motors freight carrier is registered to you in Maharashtra.
The declaration of assets is an annual practice for ministers and state officials since 2011.
CM Kumar has properties worth Rs 56.53 lakh in his name, while his son Nishant owns properties worth Rs 3.62 crore. Officials said Nishant is richer than his father as he owns the ancestral property.
According to the statements, CM Kumar has a residential flat in Delhi’s Dwarka which is worth around Rs 40 lakh, in addition to movable property worth Rs 16.53 lakh. He also owns a Ford sports car that costs Rs 11.32 lakh, in addition to having a dozen cows and six calves. The CM has declared Rs 35,885 in cash.
Sahani, who became a minister on his first attempt, owns two buildings in Mumbai, valued at Rs 7.47 crore and Rs 9.60 crore, each. It also has 114 grams of gold jewelry.
The Senior Deputy Minister, Tarkishore Prasad, owns a property worth Rs 1.50 million, which includes his wife’s share. He owns five vehicles. Another senior deputy minister, Renu Kumari, claims to be the owner of movable property worth Rs 61.35 lakh. Interestingly, he has a pistol and rifle as a prized possession.
The minister of the department of public health and engineering, Ramprit Paswan, is the poorest of the 14 ministers. He owns movable and immovable property worth around Rs 95 lakh, which includes real estate worth Rs 88.50 lakh. His wife, however, owns more land than the minister.
Transportation Minister Sheela Kumari owns a property worth 6.08 million rupees, including real estate assets of 5.70 rupees. But she has no vehicle to travel. Health Minister Mangal Pandey, who owns a property worth Rs 2.30 crore, stated that he had given Rs 29 lakh as a loan to his wife.
The Minister of Energy, Vijendra Prasad Yadav, and the Minister of Water Resources, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, have properties worth Rs 1.90 million each in their name.
Education Minister Ashok Choudhary owns movable property worth Rs 3.19 crore, a revolver and a luxury vehicle costing Rs 16 lakh. Agriculture Minister Amarendra Pratap Singh owns properties worth Rs 1.68 million.
The Minister of Social Welfare, Santosh Kumar Suman, and the Minister of Reform and Land Reforms, Ram Surat Kumar, own properties worth Rs 3.31 crore and Rs 11.38 crore respectively.
The Minister of Mines and Geology, Jivesh Kumar, also has properties worth 3.56 million rupees in his name. His wife is richer than the minister.
