MS Dhoni’s single record in IPL leaves even Rohit, Virat and Gayle behind

The 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL) is just around the corner, as it is scheduled to run from September 19 to November 10 in the United Arab Emirates at three venues: Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

As franchises and players prepare to participate in the cash-rich tournament, many teams will be looking to break many records.

When it comes to limited games, the only thing that catches everyone’s attention is the rain of six.

Players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers come into play when it comes to hitting the ball from the fence.

However, there is a record that MS Dhoni has that has left behind players like Kieron Pollard, Andre Russell and others.

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) hold the record for hitting at least one six in their last 100 games. Apart from Dhoni, no other hitter has managed to reach a six in 100 games.

The cricketers following Dhoni on this record are Suresh Raina, who has hit six in 98 games. Raina is followed by Virat Kohli, who has scored sixes in 89 games, while Rohit Sharma has scored sixes in 88 games.

Following these Indian giants is Chris Gayle, who has scored six in 86 matches, while AB de Villiers and Kieron Pollard have scored six in the 76-76 match.

As for the IPL, Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will meet in the opening match of the IPL 2020 on September 19 in Abu Dhabi. RCB will take on Sunrises Hyderabad (SRH) in their opening match of the tournament on September 21.
