MS Dhoni to become third Indian to reach 300 sixes in T20 cricket

MS Dhoni has looked rusty at the start of IPL 2020. It remains to be seen if he returns to normal or has lost touch. Dhoni was in the thick of things during the 2019 World Cup for his poor hit rate. He took an extended sabbatical after the marquee event and then announced his retirement from international cricket.

Dhoni is definitely not in his prime. He’s not timing the ball perfectly. However, he showed little hope during the final in the last game to score three sixes that went the distance. But he has faced severe criticism for downgrading his batting position and experimenting with CSK’s lineup in opening games.

Dhoni will then be seen in action when CSK take on Delhi Capitals later in the day. He will also be close to achieving the milestone of becoming the third Indian to reach 300 sixes in international cricket. The CSK captain needs two more sixes to accomplish the feat. Only Rohit Sharma (361) and Suresh Raina (311) are ahead of him in this tally.

Dhoni made a big name for himself by making the country proud with his accomplishments after coming from the cricket backwaters of Ranchi. He has achieved immense success as a player and also became one of the most successful captains and accomplished almost everything that ICC tournaments had to offer.

All the success had made him one of the most influential people on the cricket circuit, but he was not the same when he was first introduced to the national team. On top of that, MS Dhoni has also been the man his teammates turn to whenever he was on the field.

Dhoni understood the game well. He knew the strength of the team and supports his players accordingly. He does not make any frivolous decisions and likes to remain calm. It is because of these qualities that Dhoni emerged as one of the calmest and most composed characters on the cricket field.
