Motorola finally launched the Moto G on Monday (November 30), the company’s first 5G mobile in India.
Motorola’s new Moto G is a mid-range phone. It has a large 6.7-inch MaxVision Full HD + (2400 x 1080p) LCD screen. It comes with an IP52 (water resistant) rating and features a dedicated Google Assistant key and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, which doubles as a power button.
Inside, it houses an octa-core Snapdragon 750G CPU, Adreno 619 GPU, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage (expandable up to 512GB), Android 10-based My UX, and a large 5,000mAh battery with fast charger. 20 W. Just 15 minutes of charging is enough for the phone to last up to 10 hours.
With the support of 5G connectivity, consumers in the future, when the necessary infrastructure is ready in India, will be able to enjoy a maximum internet speed of up to 5 Gbps to 10 Gbps. Users can download 4K resolution media content with sizes of 8GB or more in just seconds. Furthermore, they can enjoy HDR video content in media streaming applications without buffering.
Another notable aspect of the Moto G 5G is the photography hardware. It has a triple camera module: 48MP main (f / 1.7 aperture, Quad pixel technology, PDAF) + 118-degree 8MP ultra-wide angle lens (with f / 2.2 aperture) + 2MP camera (with f / 2.4 aperture) for macro shots. It also supports 4K video recording at 30fps and 1080p at 60fps. On the front, it features a 16MP snapper with an aperture of f / 2.2.
Other stipulated features include USB Type-C, 3.5mm headphone jack, bottom port speaker, Dual SIM support (nano type: 5G / 4G LTE + 4G LTE), Wi-Fi 6802.11 ac (dual bands: 2, 4 GHz + 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and NFC (Near Field Communication).
Motorola Moto G 5G will be available exclusively on Flipkart starting December 7 for Rs 20,999, making it the most affordable 5G phone in India. In addition, the company, in collaboration with HDFC, offers an additional Rs 1,000 discount to consumers who make purchases with a credit card. This effectively brings the price of the device down to Rs 19,999.
