New Delhi: Narendra Modi’s government has given a huge bonanza to around six million EPF subscribers who have been eagerly awaiting the 2019-20 interest credit on their employees’ provident fund (EPF) accounts.
The EPFO has already started to credit the amount to the subscribers’ PF account.
Labor and Employment Minister Santosh Gangwar in announcing the decision on Thursday (December 31) had said that PF subscribers will start receiving 8.5 percent interest on their PF amount as of December 31. .
“I am pleased to inform you that a notification has been issued and for the 2019-2020 year, our subscribers over 6 crore rupees will receive 8.5 percent interest on the PF amount. We have arranged for them to start receiving these benefits from today, ”Union Minister Santosh Gangwar said yesterday.
He added: “We know that the circumstances in 2020 were not favorable for us. People were surprised when, starting in 2020, we said that we will try to give an interest of 8.5 percent on the amount of the Provident Fund for the year 2019-2020. Today I am here to fulfill that promise. “
EPFO subscribers can check their PF balance from the comfort of their home using four different ways: check PF balance using SMS, online, missed call, and the UMANG app.

Click on the e-Passbook

In addition to the mobile number, members registered in the UAN portal can obtain their FP data by sending an SMS from their registered mobile numbers. To do this, you must send a text message with ‘EPFOHO UAN’ to 7738299899.
How to check EPF balance through missed call
EPFO subscribers, registered on the UAN portal, can obtain their available FP details with the Employees Provident Fund Organization by giving a missed call to 011-22901406 from their UAN registered mobile phone number.
