Xiaomi officially announced the global version of its custom Android interface, MIUI 12. The announcement comes nearly a month after it was announced by his hometown, China. The new interface comes with the same features that we saw during the Chinese ad updated including visual effects, improved dark mode, better privacy controls as well as the amazing Super wallpapers.

The new MIUI 12 ROM is based on Android 10, and mainly focuses on the visual changes. It is flatter and more minimalist, with new and flawless animations for everything. There is a new Dark Mode 2.0 with the background of the screen dimming along with the new navigational gestures that now matches Android 10. The Configuration section has also seen some changes, especially in Storage and My Device sections.

Other features include improvements to privacy controls, where the OS will now notify users each time an application has access to a sensitive feature such as your location, camera, microphone, and so on. There is also a new Ultra Battery Saving mode that activates a new home screen with just a couple of essential applications. This mode can be turned on automatically when the battery drops below five per cent. The updated version of dark mode has the ability to expand the black theme for third-party applications.

The update also brings Super live wallpaper as well as Always-on the screens of which are inspired in the Earth, the Moon and Mars. The best feature is that when you unlock the phone in the background of a live screen in a zoom from space right at the level of the surface, depending on what celestial body you have chosen.

As for the deployment, Xiaomi has announced that the new MIUI 12 update will be coming first to the My 9, the Redmi K20, and Redmi K20 Pro (also known as the My 9T and My 9T Pro at the global level) in the month of June. This includes Redmi K20 of the number of users in India.

The update is also expected to launch the Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 6 Pro, Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note, 9 Pro, and My number 10. Other phones including My Note 10, Mi 8, Mi 8 Pro, My Mix 3, My Mix 2S, My 9, My 9 Lite, My Note 3, My Mix 2, My Max 3, My 8 Lite, Redmi 2, Redmi 2, Redmi Y3, Redmi 8A, and Redmi 8A Dual. The company sub-brand (now a separate entity) Shortly will also be rolling out the update for Some F1, Some F2 Pro, and a Little X2. The company, however, has not confirmed the release date accurate for these devices.
