The trailer for Mirzapur 2 was released on Tuesday, ending the audience’s long wait. The Amazon Prime crime series set in the badlands of Uttar Pradesh stars Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyenndu, Shweta Trpathi, Rasika Dugal, and Kulbhushan Kharbanda. Joining them in Mirzapur 2 are Vijay Varma, Isha Talwar, Amit Sial, and Anjum Sharma. The trailer features hard-hitting dialogue and escalated violence as Guddu bhaiya plays with Kaleen bhaiya’s empire and seeks revenge against her heir apparent Munna.

1.18pm: Anjum Sharma says he was inundated with questions about his role
Anjum Sharma, who was introduced as Sharad Shukla at the end of Mirzapur’s first season, said that after a point, he was irritated by the constant questions about the show because he barely entered the show and the season ended. He said there was a lot of intrigue even about his small role and that he has a surprise in store for the viewers of season two.
1:12 PM: Vijay Varma said he joined the cast of Mirzapur 2 shortly after the release of Gully Boy
Vijay Varma said that after the release of Gully Boy, he was offered Mirzapur season 2. He revealed that it was the first project he signed after Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt-starrer.
1.05pm: Rasika Dugal says she doesn’t want to get over her first season hangover
Rasika Dugal said that her character, Beena Tripathi, has a journey of her own. “She plays men how she wants, while making them think they are doing it on their own,” he said. Divyenndu Sharma said that the audience could relate to Munna, even though she was such a dark character. He said that as an actor, his intent was to bring out the “human side.”

12.20pm: Shweta Tripathi says she flinched when she held a gun for the first time
Shweta Tripathi, who plays Golu on the show, said she was quite uncomfortable when she first handled a gun. “I still remember the first time I held a gun; the strong shook me completely. In that moment I knew I had to train for this. We use real guns and that’s why I worked with stunt director Manohar Verma for the next 10 days in his training room near Film City, ”he said in a statement.
“The real confidence came on set. While emitting and firing weapons, making sure everything is smooth, was difficult to achieve. Especially for someone like me because I don’t like violence, but this is not Shweta’s journey but Golu’s. I am living the life of Golu. One of my first days of filming in Mumbai, and I prepared a lot emotionally. This is the first time I have done action and I had started to train physically in advance. The character has an interesting arc and we see her in a very different light this season. He couldn’t have looked like Golu from season 1. He finished shooting and trained daily. Ali Fazal’s Guddu bhaiya and Shweta Tripathi’s Golu want revenge for the deaths of his family, Babloo and Sweety, and Sharad is ready to enter the murky world of crime to avenge the death of his father Rati Shankar.
