Actress Minissha Lamba, in a new interview, has spoken about Rhea Chakraborty and Sushant Singh Rajput, and has extended her support for the Jalebi actor. Minissha also called out a section of the media that have been targeting Rhea.
Speaking to the Times of India, he said that remaining inactive was no longer an option. “Because now enough is enough! Nothing about those wild accusations sat well with me. They didn’t make sense. After Rhea’s interviews, which to me, resonated with truth, reason, and logic, I couldn’t just sit back and be quiet. Give a human being the dignity to undergo investigations without us making judgments based on conjecture, rumor and gossip. ” Minishha also recently tweeted in support of Rhea.
On the issue of Rhea stating that Sushant used to smoke marijuana and how her family had claimed that she had poisoned him, Minissha said that all she could see was a woman caring for a man she loved. “From Rhea’s interviews and an audiotape that came out recently where Sushant-Rhea and two other people are helping them plan their future, they are heard talking about the idea of moving to Pawna (outside of Mumbai) as Sushant feels that he cannot work in films due to his condition. It was heartbreaking to hear him make the decision to leave. We can clearly hear Rhea supporting. She is also leaving Bombay to live with him and take care of him. From this conversation I can only see a woman who loved Sushant and did her best to help him get better. I don’t see any logic or motive for this horrible accusation. “
Minissha has a tough word to say against a section of the media and its coverage of the issue. She also spoke about Rhea’s parents being questioned by various investigative agencies. She said: “The investigating agencies are conducting their business in the manner and protocols they consider appropriate. But what is happening in the Indian media trial court, resulting in tainted public opinion, is simply not being done. “
