Microsoft Surface Pro X, Surface Pro 7 and Surface Laptop 3 released in India; here are all the prices

Prices start at Rs 72,999 for Surface Pro 7 and Rs 98,999 for Surface Laptop 3 and Surface Pro X respectively.

Microsoft finally released Surface Pro X, Surface Pro 7 and Surface Laptop 3 in India. While Surface Pro 7 and Surface Laptop 3 are common updates to next-gen Surface Pro 6 and Surface Laptop 2, Surface Pro X belongs to a whole new product category, one that sees Microsoft leveraging ARM-based processors sourced from from Qualcomm for the first time. Prices start at Rs 72,999 for Surface Pro 7 and Rs 98,999 for Surface Laptop 3 and Surface Pro X respectively.

As mentioned earlier, Surface Pro X is truly the highlight in Microsoft’s latest Surface line. And its biggest highlight is its ARM SQ1-based custom mobile processor that Microsoft has created in association with Qualcomm. The Surface Pro X, in that regard, also has a custom SQ1 Adreno 685 GPU. There are two benefits to this type of approach, according to Microsoft. One is how it helps the company achieve a slim and lightweight form factor. The Surface Pro X measures just 7.3mm and weighs just 744g. Second, the use of an ARM-based chip helps Microsoft get more out of the device’s battery – Surface Pro is claimed to offer up to 13 hours of use on a single charge.

The Surface Pro X also supports fast charging (80% in 1 hour) and LTE connectivity, courtesy of the built-in Snapdragon X24 LTE modem.

Elsewhere, the Surface Pro X has a 13-inch “PixelSense” touchscreen with a resolution of 2880 × 1920 pixels and a 3: 2 aspect ratio. It contains a fast SSD and runs Windows 10 Home software. The Surface Pro X has two USB Type-C ports and one Surface Connector port for charging.

Meanwhile, Surface Pro 7 and Surface Laptop 3 offer hardware upgrades to their next-gen predecessors. Microsoft says Surface Pro 7 is 2.3 times faster than previous generations, while Surface Laptop 3 is two times faster than previous generations.

Surface Pro X will be available in a matte black finish. Surface Pro 7 will be available in Platinum and Matte Black. The 13.5-inch Surface Laptop 3 will be available in platinum and matte black, while the 15-inch version will come only in matte black.

As is often the case with everything related to Surface, accessories like keyboards, mice and pencils will be sold separately.
