The swashbuckling duo of Hardika Pandya (28) and Kieron Pollard (25 not out) scored at their usual pace, but it was Krunal who propelled MI to 208 of five with 20 runs in just four deliveries in the last over.
Then the IM bowlers did enough to restrict the SRH to 174 for seven.

Pursuing 209, a formidable target even in Sharjah’s small field, SRH started with Jonny Bairstow sending Trent Boult’s third installment into the stands. Two fours and a six followed before Boult had the Englishman for a 25 of 15 balls.
David warner (60 of 44 balls) went into action with a pair of limits out Jasprit bumrah. Manish Pandey had run to 16 when Hardik Pandya dropped a babysitter, her view blocked by the afternoon sun.
Pandey lifted Rahul Chahar over long for a massive six and Warner followed suit, hitting the spinning leg for another high at the same time SRH kept pace with the required running speed.

The prolific Australian then cut his compatriot James Pattinson through the points region before crushing Krunal by a six-four to help SRH pass the 100-race mark on lap 11.
Attempting a top cut against Boult, Kane Williamson was caught by Quinton de Kock, after Bumrah threw an excellent six-run pass.
The hero of the last match, Priyam Garg, couldn’t replicate his performance, but it was Warner’s great wicket, on the 16th overtaken by Pattinson, that almost sealed the game in IM’s favor even as the required rate soared beyond all 14 races.
For MI, there were two wickets each for Boult (2/28), Pattinson (2/29) and Bumrah (2/41).
Previously, Rohit Sharma placed Sandeep Sharma in the middle of the wicket for a six to start the procedure, but the IM captain got caught behind the next ball while chasing a wide delivery, only to hit Jonny Bairstow.
Field referee Richard Illingworth was not convinced by Sandeep’s strong appeal, but the review was in his team’s favor.
Suryakumar hit six limits, including a couple of nice shots, on his 27 of 18 balls before being fired by Siddarth Kaul, who played his first game of the season. Kaul filtered as many as 64 runs in his four overs.
At the other end, De Kock worked the ball very well between big shots, as the Mumbai Indians maintained a healthy running pace.
After 10 overs, MI went 91 for two with De Kock looking good touch.
Playing in place of the injured Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sandeep had done more than was expected of him in his first two overs, sending Rohit back early.
But MI has enough firepower in their batting lineup and bounced back from the opening hit with De Kock leading the way.
However, the seasoned South African, who entered his half century with a straight six over the pitcher’s head, came out after Rashid Khan caught a good catch at his own bowling alley to signal Hardik’s arrival.
Pandya would have been fired for little money, but David Warner couldn’t hold on to a tough opportunity at the edge.
Manish Pandey, who had spilled one earlier in the day, made up for it with a sensational catch to send Ishan Kishan back for a 31 of 23 balls.
Pollard and Hardik then did what they do best even though the likes of T Natarajan threw out quite a few yorkers.
