The MHA requested all state and territory governments of the Union to ensure that their field officials allow the smooth movement of all medical professionals, nurses, paramedical personnel, health personnel and ambulances, and to ensure the opening of all private clinics, nursing homes and laboratories with all medical and personal professionals.

There have been many complaints from health workers about local authorities and the police that do not allow free movement during the ongoing blockade.
The letter signed by the home secretary, Ajay Bhalla, says that in many places, it has also been reported that private clinics and nursing homes are not allowed to open.
“Running these medical facilities, which complement the regular medical infrastructure and ease the burden on hospitals, is also crucial. I urge all states and UTSs to ensure that such clinics and nursing homes continue to function without hindrance, ”he said.
