The Home Office (MHA) issued a new set of Covid-19 guidelines on Wednesday to be followed from February 1. These guidelines have been issued to combat the disease in affected areas and control its spread in unaffected areas without stopping economic activities.

In the new set of guidelines, which will remain in effect until February 28, the MHA has allowed everyone into the pools, which were previously open only to athletes, and allowed movie theaters to raise the ceiling for people. indoor.

These are the highlights of the MHA order:

  1. All activities have been allowed outside of the containment zones, except some that will be subject to strict compliance with the SOPs.
  2. Relaxations will continue in social, religious, sports, entertainment, educational, cultural and religious gatherings. These activities have already been allowed up to a maximum of 50 percent of the room’s capacity, with a ceiling of 200 people in closed spaces; and keep the size of the land or space in sight, in open spaces.
  3. There will be no restrictions on the interstate and intrastate movement of people and goods, including those destined for cross-border trade under treaties with neighboring countries. No separate electronic permission / approval / permission will be required for such moves.
  4. The pools are already allowed for athletes. Now everyone will be allowed to use, for which the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports will issue a revised SOP in consultation with the MHA.
  5. Business to Business (B2B) showrooms have already been allowed. Now all types of showrooms will be allowed, for which the Commerce Department will issue a revised SOP in consultation with the MHA.
  6. By allowing greater openness of international passenger air travel, the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MOCA) can make a decision in consultation with the MHA based on the assessment of the situation.
  7. The containment zones, if necessary, will be carefully delineated by the district authorities at the micro level, taking into consideration the guidelines prescribed by the MoHFW in this regard.

The government order says that national directives for managing Covid-19 will continue to be followed across the country, in order to enforce appropriate Covid-19 behavior.
