The Ministry of the interior today of a waiver of security lock to conduct the board examination for the students of 10 and 12 standard, said the Minister of the interior Amit Shah.
“Taking into consideration the academic interests of a large number of students, it has been decided to grant exemption from blocking of measures to conduct the board examination for classes 10 and 12, with some conditions, such as social distancing, face mask, etc, for their safety,” said Shah twitter.
The decision comes after the board exams before was postponed due to the national blockade imposed on March 25, to contain the spread of Covid-19.
On the other hand, the HRD Ministry today said that the students displayed outstanding of class 10 and 12 board exams in their own schools, instead of a test center outside.
The Ministry is also planning to declare the board exam results for July-end and the evaluation process has already begun for the exams that were conducted before the blockade was announced. The HRD Ministry had appointed 3,000 assessment centres from where the answer sheets would be distributed to the teachers.
“Efforts are being made to declare the result by July-end in itself. Evaluation process has already begun for the examination board and will continue to be held simultaneously with pending tests”, HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal said.
Apart from that, The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Monday announced the date sheet for the slope of the class 10 and 12 board exams to be held from 1 to 15 July 2020.
According to the CBSE officials, students will appear in the individual schools for the tests, and no test outside of the centres.
“Students will appear for exams at their own schools and not from external test centres, to ensure a minimum of travel for them. Schools will be responsible to ensure social distancing rules are followed and students will be required to bring your own sanitiser bottles and cover her face with the mask,” a board official said.
Universities and schools around the country have been closed since March 16, when the Center announced a classroom across the country closing as one of the measures to contain the COVID-19 outbreak.
