The Interior Ministry (MHA) unilaterally summoned three IPS officials from West Bengal on Saturday to serve in the central delegation, days after the alleged security breaches during visit by BJP chief JP Nadda to the state, officials said. The three officers were responsible for the security of the BJP chief.
The move is likely to further intensify the ongoing struggle between the Trinamool Congress led by Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal and the central government led by the BJP after the attack on Nadda’s convoy Two days ago.

Three officers from the Indian Police Service belonging to the West Bengal cadre have been called up to serve in the central delegation in light of the lapses that allegedly led to the attack on Nadda’s convoy in West Bengal, an MHA official said.
The decision was made under the rules governing all Indian duty officers, the official said.
Usually the consent of the state government is taken before any duty officer from all over India is called in to serve in the central delegation.
