Meet Bihar’s New Ministers: Nitish Stays Home; JD (U) gets education, health goes to BJP


A day after 14 ministers from Bihar’s new cabinet were sworn in, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced the portfolios. This is the first time that Bihar will have two deputy chief ministers. The new Bihar government has fourteen ministers: seven from the BJP, five from the JD (U) and one from HAM and one from VIP.

Mewalal Choudhary (JD-U) will be the new minister of education and BJP Shiela Kumari It will be the Minister of Transport.

Vikassheel Insaan Party’s Mukesh sahni will be the Minister of Livestock and Fisheries.

Mangal pandey (BJP) is the Minister of Health, Roads, Art and Culture.

Agriculture, cooperatives and sugar cane will be in charge of BJP’s Amrendra Pratap Singh. Rampreet Paswan he will be the new minister of public health engineering.
