Mathura court dismisses guilty plea requesting removal of mosque | Agra News

“We will proceed to the higher court as the court has not considered several pertinent issues,” said the plaintiffs’ attorney, Hari Shankar Jain.

The lawsuit, which was filed in the Civil Judge’s Court, Superior Division, demanded the annulment of a previous judgment of the Mathura court, which upheld a land agreement reached between Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan and the Shahi Idgah Management Committee in the mosque.
The lawsuit was filed on behalf of the child deity Bhagwan Shrikrishna Virajman, through “next friend” Ranjana Agnihotri and seven other people, Jain said.
Next friend is a legal term for a person representing someone directly unable to maintain a suit.
The petition named the Central Sunni Waqf Board of Uttar Pradesh; Shahi Masjid Idgah Foundation; Shri Krishna Janambhoomi Trust; and Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan as defendants.
The plaintiffs sought an order ordering the mosque’s administration to “remove the construction erected by them that encroaches on the land within the Katra Ksehav Dev temple area.”
The statement called for prohibitive precautionary measures that would prevent the defendants, their workers, supporters, men, lawyers and everyone acting under them from entering the 13.37-acre facility.
