NEW DELHI: Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh He is stable and under observation at AIIMS here after suffering a reaction to a new drug and developing a fever, hospital sources said Monday.

“Dr. Manmohan Singh was admitted for observation and investigation after developing a feverish reaction to a new medication,” the sources said.
“He is being investigated to rule out other causes of fever and is receiving care as needed. He is stable and under the care of a team of doctors at the AIIMS Cardiothoracic Center,” they said.
“All his parameters are fine. He is under observation at AIIMS,” said a source close to him.
Singh, a leading leader of the opposition Congress, is currently a member of Rajya Sabha of Rajasthan. He was prime minister between 2004 and 2014.
In 2009, Singh underwent successful coronary bypass surgery at AIIMS.
Several expressed leaders have expressed concern for his health and wished him a speedy recovery.
