Manish Pandey leaves Virat Kohli red-faced by hitting huge six after RCB captain says ‘Aaj Nahi Maar Rha Shot’

Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli was red-faced when his sled failed during the 2020 IPL Qualifier against SunRisers Hyderabad on Friday.

When asked to hit first, RCB had managed to make just 131 of 7 in the 20 allotted overs. Villiers’ AB scored the team’s leading scorer, scoring 56 while Aaron Finch scored 32. Except for them, only Mohammed Siraj (10) managed to touch the double-digit mark when RCB put up another bad batting display.

In response, SRH chased the total with two balls to spare. The RCB bowlers put on a good show and relived their team’s chances, but the score was perhaps too small to defend. For SRH, Kane Williamson and Jason Holder made the difference with the bat, scoring 50 * and 24 * respectively while sharing a 65-run undefeated position.

Manish Pandey leaves Virat Kohli ashamed:

The incident took place in SRH’s third inning when Manish Pandey was up against Mohammed Siraj. Defending a modest total of 131, RCB needed a good start and Siraj provided it by firing Shreevats Goswami for a duck in the first over while conceding just two.

Navdeep Saini kept up the pressure by giving up just two runs on the second lap. And when Siraj came to throw the third on Manish Pandey, the RCB players were chanting around him to pressure him. Virat Kohli then decided to personally bring his teammate to India.

Pandey did not look in good touch and when he defended the second ball from over, Virat Kohli decided to pressure him with verbal volleys. With a cheeky smile on his face, the RCB patron was heard saying: “Aaj nahi maar rha shot”.

But Kohli’s words fell apart miserably when Pandey hit a massive six just one ball later to leave his former IPL teammate to shame. The right-hander went on to play a crucial 24 hit in the low-scoring thriller.
