A 37-year-old man was found dead and his wife was lying unconscious in the couple’s apartment at Chattarpur Extension in south Delhi, police officials said on Sunday.
The deceased, Chirag, was lying on the ground Saturday and his wife, Renuka, who was unconscious in bed, is under treatment, they said.
Police suspect the man was stabbed by someone.
A senior police officer said: “We received a call from the landlord that his tenants were not opening the door. At the same time, we found a post on Facebook in which a woman had shared information about the murder of her husband. We opened the door and found the couple lying unconscious. “
A murder case against unidentified persons has been registered. Efforts are underway to identify the accused, he said.
The couple did not have a child and, from the initial consultation, it was found that there were differences between them. They had been living in the apartment for seven years and worked at an insurance company, police said, adding that more investigations are underway.
