Mallika Singh, niece of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has given a harsh response to a tweet from Telugu actress Lakshmi Manchu criticizing the media judgments of actress Rhea Chakraborty and calling on the film industry to defend a colleague. Mallika claimed to be surprised that people suddenly remember what it means to defend a colleague.
Earlier Monday, Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu had again tweeted Lakshmi’s post, agreeing with her.
Mallika took to Instagram Stories and shared an image of Lakshmi’s note condemning the media trials of Rhea, who has been accused of complicity in the suicide in Sushant’s death by the late actor’s family.
Mallika wrote: “I’m surprised that at this moment, some people are suddenly remembering what ‘family pain’ and ‘standing up for a colleague’ mean.”
Lakshmi in her tweet had demanded justice for both Sushant and Rhea. She added that she would like her colleagues to defend her if she ever faced the situation Rhea was going through.

In the tweet, Lakshmi spoke about Rhea’s recent interview, adding that “media judgments” have turned a girl into a “monster.”
